So, yes, Australia Day. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate our ‘great southern land’, I just find it hard to really get behind a celebration which for the most part consists of our politicians rewarding sports stars with the Australian of the Year award (EDIT: W00t, for once it went to someone whose resume doesn’t consist of “throws ball well”) and yobbos wandering the streets, wearing flags and shouting at anyone who isn’t white.

I love the ideals that the media and propaganda machines tell us Australia stands for, I just wish we could see them in practice more often.
