I’ve got two things to cover in today’s post:
1) Dorothy Porter passed away today. She was a family friend and an amazing poet who’s work always strived to challenge preconceptions, and a feisty lady to boot. Her work and presence will be sorely missed from the Australian literay scene, as will she be from our lives.
2) On the 13th of December protests against the Australian government’s mandatory internet filter plans will take place in all capital cities. Whether your issue is politcal, philosphical, technological or all of the above, it’s incredibly important we don’t let the above featured Senator succeed with his plans.
